Multi Physics - CFD

The RecurDyn/CFD solver was developed to study CFD effects within engineering mechanical systems with moving parts (rigid or flexible). To this point RecurDyn/CFD (or E-CFD) has been used for solving lubrication (EHD, PISTON) and air-resistance problems (please refer to figure).

The calculation time and storage memory of E-CFD is much decreased compared to those of generic CFD because it uses scale analysis to simplify the application problems. Therefore, E-CFD is the appropriate CFD solver to analyze the system-level mechanical models with motion.
